Welcome to the Herd! Vol 2

2017 Issue  #2
Howdy from the Corral,
Week number one is in the books and success was the word of the week.  If you find anything in the news letter that didn’t come through the email system correctly, you can always view the news letter on the website at http://www.rbvfootball.com/newsletter.  The website is being renovated and changes frequently so visit often.  If there is an error or information that is missing or you’d like to see, you can use the contact us menu and fill in the web form and it will be delivered to the boosters and we will attempt to accommodate everyone’s request.
—Remember that the program success and the magnitude of our athlete’s enjoyment of this football season will be significantly impacted by our direct support.  We encourage all parents to get involved with the boosters and events.  Additionally, support is always needed to ensure the snack bar is manned and earning money and spirit wear sales are available during our home contests.  Both of these volunteer opportunities are available for sign up on the website under the volunteer menu.

Out on the back 40

The Varsity Herd hosted Irvine High School at The Ranch.  Managing a formidable running attack combined with solid play the veterans held off the Irvine attack and secured a 40 – 37 Win.
The Junior Varsity Herd also hosted Irvine High School at The Ranch.  From the initial kick off the upcoming herd managed the Irvine squad.  Behind a relentless rushing attack and some timely defense, the up-and-comers dominated with a 20 – 8 Win.
The Freshman Herd infiltrated the Irvine’s house and after a slow start, put their hoofs all over the furnature and departed with a come from behind 21 – 20 Win!
Thank you so much for your generosity!
An enormous thank you goes out to our generous benefactors to date!  Our fundraising efforts have been very successful so far thank you in large part to Blast Athletics and their support and with only a few more events planned to raise funds for the football program we need to keep the press on as football and all it entails can be expensive.
Additionally, on the website, the Sponsorship/Donation Opportunities now contains a PayPal $10 donation button.  If you can manage to take one specialty coffee day a week off and send that $10 to the football program, those funds would go a long way toward banquet cost, etc.
Noteworthy items and after thoughts
Below is information on ordering this years game film from each game your student athlete will compete in.  This film can be used to produce game film footage for recruiting websites and Facebook pages.  Having ordered this package last season, I cannot strongly recommend it enough.
A special thank you to our local sponsors and business, please patronize them whenever possible!
